Ah, this blog. I’ve had this blog since the end of 2007. Almost ten whole years. Crazy. I’ve used this blog very sporadically over those years. I only have 290 posts (all private now – too embarrassing to keep public, too nostalgic to delete), a testament to continuously failed attempts at posting things regularly. Looking back at the first posts, the words of a nine year old…it’s a little funny because I can almost remember writing them.
And now I’m writing this from the Bahamas, drinking a vodka orange. Life is good. It’s going to be sad going back to cold Pittsburgh on Tuesday, but at the same time it’ll be nice to be back in my own bed, at least for six days until I fly to L.A for NAMM, which is for work but I’m still going to see some of the sights. And then it’ll be back home again, pick up my dog from my friend’s house (he’s the only thing I’ve missed while being here), and I’ll be nose to the grindstone until Easter, which I’ll be spending with family in England. There are more plans in the works, but they’re too far away to mention them here.
A lot of fun things are going to happen this year, so I thought I’d try my hand at blogging again. After all: new year, new me. Well…we’ll see.
